Prospector Ranch’s 3 Tips for Fulfilling Your Goals in the New Year

That’s what a lot of us think this time of year.
With the fresh start of a new year, we all have ideas of what we want to accomplish, things we want to do. But in order to see the goals through, there is a bit of strategy.
We would like to share some of what helps us accomplish our goals with you! As we greet 2024 together, let’s all do our best to accomplish our new year resolutions together.
1. Make your goals accomplishable.
You want to have a chance of accomplishing your goals. Otherwise, you could get discouraged early on and not see it through to the end. Take a moment to think about what you can do this year, something you can actually see yourself succeeding with, and create your goals around that.
2. Don’t be afraid to break up your goals into smaller objectives.
Last year, we wanted to have a Conestoga covered wagon Airbnb up and running. We knew that was a goal we had a chance at accomplishing, but there is a lot of work and steps that go into getting an Airbnb ready for business. So, we broke that goal up into smaller goals. We focused first on getting the wagon here to Prosector Ranch and getting it built. After that, we created another mini goal to get any furniture necessary for the space. After, that we worked toward the goal of getting it decorated. Before we knew it, we had a beautiful, high-end covered wagon open and ready for business! As we got it up and running in the spring, we had time to get another Airbnb on the property ready for business later in the year! Score.

3. Make it fun!
Even if your goal is something that isn’t the most enjoyable to work toward, you can still make the process enjoyable. After all, we tend to have more motivation to do something when the process is enjoyable. For us, getting an Airbnb up and running is hard work, but it’s fun see it come together and decorated. Prospector Ranch owner Meggan Kimberly loves going thrift shopping. Making that a part of the process for any new Airbnb results in it being both productive and enjoyable.
